Therap's Incident Management Tool Enables State Agencies to Receive Notifications, Follow-up, Investigate and Resolve Critical Incidents
Software for Intellectual and Developmental Disability Providers Features an Incident Reporting Tool to Allow Providers and State Oversight Agencies to Document Internal and Serious Reportable Events.
WATERBURY, Conn., Feb. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap's incident reporting tool is used by agencies nationally to track incident reports on supported individuals receiving care and services. The tool has been configured to different state requirements while allowing reporting across state jurisdictions for multi-state providers. Additionally, related incidents or incidents involving multiple people may be recorded from one event. Therap tracks medication errors with notes for comments, follow-up and corrective action as part of the review process. Therap's incident reporting tool received an updated interface to streamline its flow and included new features, and integrates with a supervisory/oversight tool for event resolutions to track related incidents and follow through in an investigation and any post-event follow-up until the event is resolved/closed.
State-specific incident reporting features are used to comply with regulations unique to each jurisdiction and form requirements within each state. Additional questions and language conform with state policies and produce PDF forms accessible within certain states where applicable. In several states, Therap's comprehensive incident reporting tool is the statewide solution of local providers and state oversight entities alike, ensuring department reviewers receive notifications the moment the provider intends to share the details of the incident. Several other states accept standard Therap incident report forms for their reporting criteria. In remaining states, providers generate a populated state incident form to print and submit to the designated state agency. Therap's state-specific incident reporting forms include over a dozen jurisdiction's forms, including New York OPWDD Incident Reporting Forms and California Initial Form, Follow-up Form and Medication Error Form.
In addition to tools for comprehensive incident reporting, Therap assists providers to meet their state's documentations needs, including demographics, person-centered individual support plans, health and care plans, medication administration records, progress notes and integrated Medicaid and third-party billing.
