Developmental Disability Software's iOS app is enhanced to provide more tools for ensuring quality assurance

WATERBURY Conn., April 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap Services, in the effort to support quality assurance measures in agencies across I/DD and Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) communities, has introduced enhancements to its iOS app for handheld Apple devices. In addition to a new design, Therap's iOS app now comes with a tool for agency administrators to quickly reset the passwords of staff members from their phones or tablets at their convenience. This new feature ensures that supervisors working remotely may reset passwords to prevent delays in documenting on Therap due to locked accounts or forgotten passwords.

With the Therap T-Log app on iOS, support professionals are able to directly submit their shift notes or progress notes from their handheld devices. When providing Home- and Community-Based Services (HCBS) to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, staff can take photos of various activities and supports. Photos are date and time stamped and can be attached to the note. For HIPAA security, photos are not saved on the device but directly uploaded to Therap. The software marks each action taken by the user with an electronic signature. Coupled with GPS location tracking, this provides multi-level data authentication and serves as proof of service delivery.

For supervisors and QA directors, the app provides tools to maintain quality assurance standards as they receive data from staff that is transparent and reliable, in real time. Supervisors are able to easily sort between logs of varying notification levels and prioritize initiatives including adding follow up notes.

Therap's T-Log module can be used to document health and behavioral concerns and to act as staff-to-staff communication. It gives users the ability to collect and communicate day-to-day information and progress in a way that can be efficiently followed up on and also allows users to communicate effectively while retaining confidentiality.
