Theology Professor Shares Some Thoughtful Insights in New Book
OCEANSIDE, Calif., Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- If Western Civilization's beliefs and values are crumbling and people have entered the post-Christian era, what are the foundational beliefs and values of the Christian heritage and Western Civilization that can serve as the foundation for life and society in the future? Dr. Sam offers some insight with these Theological Sentences that challenge the view that the twin pillars upon which Western Civilization was built – the classical Greek and Roman heritage and the history and teaching recorded in the Bible – are either badly out of date so far as modern people are concerned or are deemed to be hopelessly obscure.
This comprehensive systematic theology expounds the major doctrines of the Christian Faith from the standpoint of Biblical teaching, the early confessions of the Christian Church, and a modern outlook on life. It engages the teaching of the Bible and significant writings of the early and later Church Fathers, in relation to modern philosophical and scientific perspectives and the human condition. This is a call to all Christians: honor mainstream Christian roots, nourish those roots, and proclaim that message.
His 2013 releases: On the Patio, a dialogue, and Letters to China, a compilation of 18 letters, are interesting, thoughtful and engaging in their discussion of the Christian faith in different perspectives.
