Granholm To Be Joined by Massachusetts Senatorial Candidate Elizabeth Warren and Former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on Her Debut Show
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Current TV's "The War Room with Jennifer Granholm" launches on Monday, January 30th at 9pm ET (encores at midnight) with an EXCLUSIVE look inside the Obama campaign war room in Chicago, Illinois. Host Jennifer Granholm, the two-term former Governor of Michigan, will provide viewers with a first-hand look at the headquarters that houses the highest profile war room in the current election. During the premiere episode, Granholm will be joined by 2012 Massachusetts Senatorial candidate Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), the former chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). The Governor will also be joined by former White House press secretary and 2012 campaign advisor Robert Gibbs who will dive into the current campaign strategy for the President and the Democratic Party.

Slated to appear on "The War Room" during premiere week are: Nate Silver (1/30), author of FiveThirtyEight Blog for the New York Times; Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) (1/31); and Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn (1/31), who will all offer their distinctive, expert perspectives on the Florida Primary and the political sentiment towards one of the most important states in the General Election. Launch week will also include an interview with Harvard Professor Lawrence Lessig (2/1), who joins to talk about the role of big money in the 2012 election, and the former Chair of President Clinton's Council of Economic Advisers and leading expert on the US economy, Laura Tyson (2/3), who will weigh in on the January Jobs report as it pertains to the current Presidential election and more.
Regular segments on "The War Room" will include: 'What's Working,' a twice weekly segment aimed at examining specific policies and how the Government can make a difference; 'The Big Money of Politics,' which will shed light on how money, including SuperPACS, are impacting politics; 'State of our States,' a nightly segment where the Governor will bring news from various state capitols to examine the election and policy issues which dominate the agenda; and 'Shush, Brett's Talking,' providing comedic relief from writer and producer Brett Ehrlich (infoMania, The Rotten Tomatoes Show), who will give his humorous take on the day's political news.
