LANCASTER, Pa., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicco USA, a leading juvenile products and toy manufacturer, is thrilled to introduce the Cortina Together double stroller. This new piece of juvenile gear is ideal for families welcoming a second baby or expecting twins.

The stroller, which accepts one or two KeyFit® or KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seats, features an innovative and convenient coupling mechanism that greatly simplifies the attachment of the second car seat. This represents a significant step forward from traditional designs which require parents to use additional contraptions, such as bars and straps to secure their infant car seats to their double strollers. Competitors' front-to-back double strollers require cumbersome add-on components to accept an additional infant car seat.
Additional features to make traveling with two easier on mom and dad include, front-locking swivel wheels and all-wheel suspension to smooth out the bumps on the road, one-touch linked rear brakes and an adjustable, ergonomically designed handle that is easy to customize for short or tall parents.
"More and more families are having children close together, or welcoming twins," observed Mark Messner, chief operating officer, Chicco USA. "With the launch of the Cortina Together, we're proud to be able to provide parents with an attractive, easy to maneuver double stroller that will grow with their family, whether they have two infants, an infant and a toddler, or two toddlers."
Beyond being practical and functional, the Cortina Together includes parent-friendly details like a large storage basket that can be easily accessed even when the seats are fully reclined, a parent organizer and a cup holder. The Italian styling of the stroller include anodized aluminum frame, chiseled tubing profile and tailored yarn-dye woven fabrics.
Children can also appreciate the Cortina Together, as no details are spared; the Cortina Together features mesh windows protecting kids from weather while allowing them to see their surroundings, swappable child cup holders and an optional arm bar for added security. The rear seat offers full recline for naps on the go. Both seats include five-point harnesses.
Best of all, the Cortina Together is small on space. The stroller folds compactly with one hand, so that collapsing and storing is easy. It also has a narrow width, so it fits through standard door frames, and is 15 percent lighter than comparable double strollers on the market.
"Chicco is highly regarded for its number-one ranked KeyFit infant car seats," said Bill Hasse, vice president of marketing at Chicco. "It was only appropriate that we should introduce the first double stroller to accept two of these fabulous infant car seats, maintaining the same design, innovation and styling features that have made Chicco a favorite of American parents."
The Cortina Together is recommended for newborns through children age 36 months, or up to 40 lbs in each seat. The product is available now at fine baby-specialty stores around the country, Babies "R" Us and BuyBuyBaby.com in the fashionable Fuego, Romantic and Cubes patterns, and retails for $299.99.
