RADNOR, Pa., June 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The VWR Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to giving back to the science community, distributed 13 grants totaling over $100,000 during the second quarter of 2016. The Foundation supports organizations and programs that are in alignment with its three strategic priorities – research, health and well-being, and science education.
The recipients included the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) International Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter in Bala Cynwyd, PA, whose mission is to progressively remove the impact of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) from people's lives until we achieve a world without T1D. The grant provides funds for T1D research with the goal of curing, treating, and preventing T1D.
Patrick Delaney, Executive Director of the JDRF Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter commented, "JDRF's Eastern PA Chapter is excited to have the continued support of the VWR Foundation for our mission to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.
