The Veolia Transportation On Demand Division Wins Permit From the Port Authority of NY & NJ for Express Bus Service From JFK and LGA Airports to New York City and Weehawken, New Jersey

NEW YORK, Jan. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Golden Touch Transportation of NY, a division of Veolia Transportation On Demand, was awarded a privileged permit by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to provide interstate express bus services to and from New York airports and Manhattan, and Weehawken, New Jersey beginning January 1, 2011.  The new service will be branded NYC Airporter™ "Your Express Ride to New York City."  

Veolia Transportation On Demand, through its division Golden Touch Transportation of NY, plans to improve the existing airport services when it takes delivery of a new fleet of HYBRID buses with leather seats, Wi-Fi, overhead and rear luggage storage and power strips for all passengers to use their laptops or charge phones while on their buses.  Veolia expects to take delivery on the new fleet in June 2011.  Both the current and new fleet is ADA accessible.

The NYC Airporter will operate between Manhattan and La Guardia (LGA) and JFK Airports and between Weehawken, NJ to Manhattan, JFK and LGA.  Low fares starting at $12.75 one way and $22 round trip is a third less than the cost of a cab.  There are multiple value pricing options for frequent travelers, airport and airline employees, as well as family discounts.
