The USO of Central and Southern Ohio team up with Ohio Community Banks to help Wounded Ohio National Guardsmen and their families

GAHANNA, Ohio, April 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- G. Scott McComb, President and CEO of Heartland Bank,  and President of the Central and Southern Ohio USO announced that Ohio's Community Banks would be aiding Ohio Guardsmen and their families from the recent attacks in Afghanistan. Heartland Bank along with the Somerville National Bank and The Hicksville Bank would be combining efforts with the USO to help with the traveling expenses for families to see their wounded Soldiers who would be returning to a military medical treatment facility in the United States.  Contact was made to the community banks in the areas where the wounded soldiers lived and those community banks responded.

"This is what community banks do.  We want to thank our active military and show our appreciation and gratitude for their service to our country," McComb stated. The USO of Central Ohio's main focus is the support of Military families.  The USO joined the community banks making a total pledge of $3,000 to help the families travel to and from the military hospitals.
