EL PASO, Texas, Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In keeping with its commitment to serve a 21st-century student demographic, The University of Texas at El Paso is proud to announce the launch of UTEP Connect, an innovative online learning initiative that connects students from around the world to exceptional, affordable higher education.
Developed for motivated individuals seeking to earn a degree while continuing to work, UTEP's online degrees are an extension of the University's on-campus programs. The online programs provide students with the same level of academic rigor and personalized instruction they can expect in UTEP's traditional classrooms.
"UTEP Connect represents an exciting new opportunity to extend our reach to current, prospective and former students whose personal and employment responsibilities make participation in an on-campus learning experience especially challenging," said UTEP President Diana Natalicio. "We are very pleased to be able to add this new dimension to achieving UTEP's access and excellence mission."
UTEP's award-winning educators and researchers have very carefully designed the curricula for the online bachelor's, master's and certificate programs. They purposefully employ innovative learning techniques to more effectively equip students with the essential knowledge and practical skills important for personal and professional success. Through these engaging, collaborative online programs, students are encouraged to enhance their learning by sharing their knowledge and experience with each other. UTEP attracts students from across the world, allowing for rich and diversified peer interaction.
UTEP is a member of The University of Texas System and is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The University has begun accepting applications as of December 8, 2014 for a broad range of online bachelor's, master's and certificate programs that will launch in May 2015.
