The University of Scranton Announces Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarship Recipient
Christian Dickson will receive tuition savings to pursue a Master of Science in Education degree, 100% online.
TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of Scranton, a U.S. News & World Report-ranked and regionally accredited university, has awarded a scholarship to a dedicated educator who is making a difference in the lives of others.
Christian Dickson received the Bisk Foundation Teacher Education Scholarship for the Special Fall 2013, Part B session. He will receive a 25% savings on tuition through graduation as he pursues a Master of Science (MS) in Educational Administration.
By sharing his love of music, Dickson has positively impacted the lives of his students at Eisenhower Intermediate School in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Many of his fifth- and sixth-graders have progressed to the state's top-ranked Bridgewater-Raritan High School Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band and Marching Band, as well as to the New Jersey Youth Symphony.
Colleagues admire Dickson's leadership and passion for teaching. His energy, humor and innovative approach bring the music curriculum to life. Dickson said his reward comes in seeing students gain confidence through practice and performance.
