The University of Michigan Appoints New Associate Vice President of Development

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The University of Michigan (U-M) Office of University Development has named Dondi Cupp as the new associate vice president. Cupp, a veteran of higher education fundraising, brings 23 years of experience to the University.

As associate vice president, Cupp will be responsible for leading a team of professional development officers in major gifts and primary fundraising programs, and oversight of the budget office.

Cupp joins U-M following his role as assistant vice president for advancement with Corporate & Foundation Relations & Constituency Programs at the University of Washington, Seattle. He helped raise $334 million in private giving support during the 2011 fiscal year. His experience in annual and major gifts, volunteer coordination, and corporate and foundation relations, will help shape the future trajectory of giving and philanthropy at the University.  

Long-time member and volunteer with the organization CASE – the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Cupp has often chaired conferences and planning committees. He has received CASE awards for top performing programs and publications and is a six-time "Stellar Speaker" Award recipient.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Cupp majored in Journalism and Public Relations.
