The Small-Business Community Is Counting On Your Vote In Entrepreneur Magazine's Entrepreneur Of 2014 Contest Presented By The UPS Store
Voting Period Now Open Until September 19
IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- After sorting through an inpouring of submissions filled with company profiles, business mission statements and future startup visions, the judges for Entrepreneur Magazine's Entrepreneur of 2014 Contest presented by The UPS Store® have chosen the finalists. A total of 15 stand-out entrepreneurs will vie for the top prize in their respective categories: established, emerging and college. From now until September 19, the small-business community is invited to watch each of the finalists' video profiles and vote to get their favorites closer to the prestigious annual titles.
The finalists have distinguished themselves within their industries, transforming them for the better with their must-have products and services. There's the social change agent whose artisan chai is now available in stores across the country and donates generously to non-profits that empower women. There's also the entrepreneur dedicated to saving fellow business owners from being overcharged by the credit card payment process. Also in the mix is a DIY platform for mobile apps, a one-stop-shop for gift cards online, and a startup concept that streamlines the service-ordering process for pilots.
"This year's finalists have built companies around their passions and are solving problems for an audience they care deeply about," said Amy Cosper, VP/editor in chief at Entrepreneur. "The voting results signal to us who the small-business community feels is truly exceptional among an already impressive group and will help us determine the ultimate winners."
"Entrepreneurs inspire us every day with their commitment to hard work and innovation," said Michelle Van Slyke, vice president of marketing and sales for The UPS Store. "This pool of finalists is proof of the many ways small businesses are changing the world in big ways."
The winners of each category will be profiled in the January issue of Entrepreneur magazine and honored at the luncheon portion of the upcoming 2015 Growth Conference in Miami Beach.
