The Silverfern Group Expands Merchant Banking Team - Deepak Ghosh Joins as Managing Director

NEW YORK, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Silverfern Group, Inc. announced today that it has continued the expansion of its senior merchant banking team with the addition of Deepak Ghosh to lead Silverfern's Industrials/Chemicals/Packaging Merchant Banking Group.

Deepak brings over 23 years of Mergers & Acquisitions, financing and restructuring experience to the Silverfern team, having been involved in the strategic analysis and tactical implementation of over $15 billion in Mergers & Acquisitions transactions, and $40 billion in corporate and structured financing transactions.

Prior to joining Silverfern, Deepak was a Senior Vice President & Global Head of Chemicals/Industrials at GE Capital for five years where he specialized in providing financings for corporate acquisitions and leveraged buyouts, project and structured financing solutions to global corporations. Deepak founded the GE Chemicals/Industrials industry coverage vertical, and was responsible for maintaining relationships with senior executives at over 50 global corporations in this sector. Prior to GE Capital, Deepak spent six years in investment banking with Young & Partners, Bear Stearns & Co. and Salomon Smith Barney.

Based in New York, Deepak leads Silverfern's Industrials/Chemicals/Packaging Merchant Banking business.
