The Silverfern Group Expands Investment Team - Stephen Greene Joins as Managing Director

NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Silverfern Group, Inc. announced today that it has continued the expansion of its senior principal investment team with the addition of Stephen Greene to lead Silverfern's Healthcare merchant banking business.

Steve brings over 25 years of Investment and Merchant Banking experience to the Silverfern team. He has advised public and private companies, private equity firms, hedge funds and other major constituencies in Mergers & Acquisitions (both friendly and hostile), financial restructurings and capital raisings. Over his career, Steve has played a substantial role in closing more than 100 transactions totaling more than $25 billion in aggregate value.

Prior to joining Silverfern, Steve was a Managing Director in the Merchant Banking Group at Morgan Joseph TriArtisan.  Before Morgan Joseph TriArtisan, Steve was a founding partner and Senior Managing Director at Eureka Capital Partners, a privately held investment bank and merchant bank, and a worldwide partner at Arthur Andersen LLP, where he was responsible for various components of its U.S. corporate finance and restructuring businesses, including its healthcare banking team. Steve began his career at Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin and later became Managing Director in charge of Houlihan's San Francisco office.

Based in New York, Steve leads Silverfern's Healthcare merchant banking business, in addition to focusing on select transactions in the industrial, transportation, financial services and technology sectors.
