The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Team Leaders

Team Leaders demonstrate how Siegfried helps its Professional Resources achieve their bigger future, as well as their personal and professional success.

Siegfried congratulates Ivy Cheung, Michelle Teale, and Jacques Westraadt on their new roles as Team Leaders.

Ivy Cheung, CPA, Associate Manager, Team Leader – New York
Ivy joined Siegfried in 2014 as a Professional Resource and was at PwC prior to this. She attended Rutgers University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting. Ivy is a Certified Public Accountant and a certified Microsoft Office 2010 Excel Expert.

"My drive to become a Team Leader stems from the rewarding experiences that I've had mentoring my colleagues and from the impactful mentors I've had throughout my career," she said. "The opportunity to assist my peers with their personal and professional development is a privilege and I value the perspectives and knowledge I know I'll gain from learning about my team's experiences."

In her free time, Ivy enjoys hiking, kayaking, and playing volleyball with her sports league team. She also spends a lot of time entertaining her German Shepherd Collie puppy, Bella.

Michelle Teale, Manager, Team Leader – New York
Michele joined Siegfried in early 2013 as a Senior Associate. She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and held positions at Grant Thornton and EY before coming to Siegfried.

"I'm excited about being a Team Leader and working with my fellow Professional Resources, as well as with Siegfried's Leadership. I look forward to sharing my experiences with my team and helping them succeed in their careers."

Michelle enjoys spending time outdoors and stays active by hiking, swimming, and running.

Jacques Westraadt, CA, Senior Manager, Team Leader – New York
Jacques joined Siegfried's Short Hills Market in 2015 as a Senior Manager after he spent more than 11 years in public accounting in the United States, Australia, and his native South Africa. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce Honors from the University of Kwazulu-Natal and his Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.

"Throughout my career, I have benefited from being surrounded by strong mentors and also had the privilege of being a coach and a mentor to my teams and colleagues. This has allowed me to build lasting relationships, and I have appreciated witnessing my own growth as well as the growth of the others I've coached," he said. "As a Team Leader, I'm looking forward to building a new set of meaningful relationships and my hope is that I can help my team succeed and make the most of their Siegfried journeys."

Jacques and his wife love to travel and explore new places, host dinner parties for friends and family, and watch Broadway shows. He also enjoys reading and is an avid tennis fan.
