The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the Northeast Region for New Hire Orientation

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at The Prime Steak House and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in the area including Powder at the Waldorf Astoria and took the funicular up the mountain to J & G Grill. The group rounded out the week with a bowling event at Jupiter Bowl and some of those who were skiers got a chance to hit the slopes.

The Siegfried Group is excited about Maria Galante, Catrina Hecht, David Luciano, Jimi Oh, Mike Olaya, Linda Olivares and Tina Padmanabhan joining the Firm.

Maria Galante
Maria joins the Stamford Market as a Senior Associate. She comes to Siegfried from RSM US, where she gained over three years of audit experience with a concentration in the manufacturing industry. She received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting with a minor in Accounting Information Systems as well as her Masters in Accounting all from Fairfield University. 

Through the use of time management and her detail-oriented mindset, Maria is able to provide efficient and effective solutions. Maria can easily integrate herself into any team through the sincere communication of positive thoughts and flexibility she demonstrates when dealing with unique personalities. Maria says, "The reason I joined the Siegfried team is for the opportunity to work on client projects with new people in various industries."

Outside of work, Maria can be found spending quality time with her family and friends. She enjoys being outside walking, hiking and going to the beach. When she is not outside, Maria can be found in her kitchen trying new recipes. 

Catrina Hecht, CA
Catrina is a Chartered Accountant who joins the New York Metro Market as a Manager. She comes to Siegfried from Australia, where she gained four years of FP&A experience with a primary focus in the oil and gas and pension industries. Catrina started her career at KPMG in External Audit and received her Bachelors of Business majoring in Accounting and International Business at Queensland University of Technology.  

Catrina's approachable and transparent style helps her foster chemistry and encourage team members to associate freely, allowing them to come up with creative ideas. Catrina says, "I wanted to be part of Siegfried because I enjoy the challenge of new projects, people and industries. Working with like-minded people creates a great work culture to grow and develop."

This is Catrina's first move overseas from Australia so she plans on spending the year getting to know New York City. One of her goals for 2016 is to learn American Sign Language, something she has wanted to do for years. When Catrina was seven years old she released a balloon into the sky with a note in it – it was found 2,000 miles away by a family, and they still remain pen pals to this day.

David Luciano, CPA
Dave is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Boston Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from PwC, where he gained three years of audit experience with a primary focus in the technology industry. He received his Bachelors of Science in both Accounting and Finance, as well as his MS in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire.

Dave brings insight and focus to his assigned objectives in order to provide his clients with an efficient and effective means to attaining a solution. His attention to detail and commitment to quality allows him to provide a different outlook and offer potential improvements. Dave says, "The opportunity to utilize my current skill-set on the client-side and diversify my experience in unfamiliar industries and environments is why I joined Siegfried."

Outside of work, Dave spends his time playing hockey, running and staying active. He is also an avid traveler, making it an annual goal to travel to at least one different country. This year he hopes to continue the tradition and is planning a trip to France and Germany this summer.

Jimi Oh, CPA, MBA
Jimi is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the New York Metro Market as an Associate Manager. Prior to joining Siegfried, he spent three years at Deloitte in external audit and two years at IPG in internal audit. Jimi holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from Hofstra University Zarb School of Business and a MBA in Quantitative Finance and Digital Marketing from New York University Stern School of Business.

Jimi is motivated to increase standards, improve performance and strives each day to help his clients solve complex problems by applying his insights gained from past experiences. He says, "I joined The Siegfried Group because the Firm offers great opportunities to team up with top-class clients and help them solve complex accounting and finance issues."

In his free time, Jimi can be found spending time with the love of his life, baseball. He occasionally writes articles about major league baseball on naver.com, one of the main search engines in Korea, and a few of his articles were read by over a million MLB fans. In addition to writing articles, Jimi enjoys spending Saturdays at the ball park during the summer months.

Jimi is also passionate about youth economic empowerment and visits the Hunting Park neighborhood in Philadelphia once or twice a month to work with the high school students attending Vocatio Career Prep school, which aims to provide a quality, comprehensive academic/vocational program to benefit young men and women of the Hunting Park neighborhood.

Mike Olaya
Mike is a finance and accounting professional who joins the New York Metro Market as a Senior Associate. Prior to Siegfried, Mike worked at Crowe Horwath as part of the transaction services practice and spent over three years at Deloitte with a primary focus on the manufacturing, consumer products and energy industries. He received his Bachelors of Science in Finance and Accounting from Drexel University.

Mike's skillful analysis makes him a key resource to clients and teams as they work collaboratively to accomplish goals. He enjoys tackling complex problems through research, data analysis and teamwork and enjoys listening to challenges faced by clients so that they can work together to create efficient solutions.

In his free time, Mike practices music mixing focusing on genres such as French House, 70/80's disco, progressive electronic, Detroit Techno and Synthpop. He stays active by participating in 5K-10K races, half marathons and also playing soccer in competitive leagues located in Jersey City and Manhattan.

Linda Olivares, CA
Linda is a Chartered Accountant who joins the New York Metro Market as a Manager. She comes to Siegfried via Brisbane, Australia where she had five years of mining industry experience, in the areas of FP&A and operational accounting. Prior to industry, she worked at Deloitte where she gained over three years of audit experience in the areas of financial services and mining manufacturing.

Linda is a conscientious and hard-working professional who can be relied upon to achieve deliverables and find innovative solutions to problems. She manages herself and teams with a rational approach focusing on tasks, responsibilities and deadlines. "My thorough approach allows me to tackle any difficult projects and produce exceptional outcomes."

In her free time, Linda enjoys staying active and planning the next travel adventure. She is currently planning her first trip from the U.S. to Playa del Carmen, Mexico in May and is looking forward to becoming a cat foster mom this month at a local rescue shelter in New York.

Tina Padmanabhan
Tina joins the New York Metro Market as a Senior Associate. She comes to Siegfried from PwC, where she completed three busy seasons in audit with a primary focus in the entertainment, media & communications and retail & consumer industries. She also gained inventory and sales accounting experience from working at Marc Jacobs Int., LLC for one and half years within their COGS team. Tina received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Tina's determination and commitment to quality allows for her to complete her work efficiently and effectively to provide value to her teams. She says, "The opportunity to work on a diverse array of clients and project work, and the ability to learn about different industries is why I wanted to join Siegfried".

In her free time, Tina enjoys going running and staying active. She likes finding races in different cities and her goal is to run at least one marathon in a different country. She loves traveling and taught English in Madrid  for a little over a year, where she learned how to properly cook and flip a tortilla Española. She enjoys watching college sports and Giants football. Tina loves adventures and exploring new cities and making new friends. She is always open for good café and book recommendations!
