The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the DC Metro and Houston Markets for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at The Logan Hotel in Philadelphia. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, CEO and Founder, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at The Logan Hotel's Commons Lounge and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in the area including City Tap House and Fogo de Chao.

The Siegfried Group is excited about Ryan Fortenberry, Brad Grsic, Deandria Johnson, Eric Kephart and Idrees Tily joining the Firm.

Ryan Fortenberry, CPA
Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the DC Metro Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from Intelsat, where he gained a year of experience in financial reporting.   He received his Masters of Accountancy and Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Ryan's desire for process improvement and analytical approach to problem solving, in conjunction with his desire to aid his teammates and superiors wherever possible make him a valuable asset in the workplace. Ryan says, "The challenge of accomplishing a task, previously considered impossible, pushes me to learn new skills and develop professionally."

In his free time, Ryan tends to his dog, Stella, and enjoys traveling to the beach. He likes biking and reading when possible and plans to try new restaurants and venues in the DC area. 

Brad Grsic, CPA, CA
Brad is a Chartered Professional Accountant who joins the Houston Market as a Senior Associate. He has come to Siegfried from PwC based in Vancouver, where he gained over three years of audit and tax experience with a primary industry focus in real estate and mining. He received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria.

Brad uses critical thinking and open discussions to produce innovative solutions for his clients. His main goals are to create meaningful relationships and high-quality deliverables which define him as a distinctive member of the team. Brad says, "I joined Siegfried for the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone and create a new set of experiences, expertise and relationships with professionals throughout the US."

In his free time, Brad stays active by being an avid rock climber and maintains his ability to type after climbing by playing acoustic guitar. When he travels, he makes sure to bring his climbing shoes wherever he goes and has so far climbed in Croatia, Germany and Poland and looks forward to adding to the list during his employment with Siegfried.

Deandria "Dedee" S. Johnson, CPA 
Dedee is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the DC Metro Market as an Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from Beacon Roofing Supply, where she gained two years of experience. She previously worked at Deloitte in audit where she gained a wide breadth of industry experience serving companies in both the commercial and financial services industries. Dedee received her Master's degree in Business Administration from Florida A&M University. 

Dedee's conscientious approach to problem-solving, coupled with her ability to adapt easily to new environments by listening attentively and learning independently, make her an asset in the workplace. She leads by example, and her motivation to achieve goals is contagious. Dedee says, "I wanted to join The Siegfried Group for the various programs and resources they offer their professionals that encourages and fosters personal and professional growth."

Dedee loves traveling to learn about different cultures and more importantly, to try different foods! In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, fashion design as well as spending time with family and friends. Dedee is passionate about youth economic empowerment and is inspired by giving back to her community. She helped to start the Stanley Sagassee Scholarship in 2012 where she and a few friends annually reward a scholarship to a graduating senior from their former high school who displays a willingness to help others. Dedee is dedicated to making a positive social and economic impact in her community.

Eric Kephart
Eric is an exceptional professional who joins the DC Metro Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from WeiserMazars LLP, where he gained five years of audit experience with a primary focus in the financial services industry. He received his Bachelors in Accounting and his Master's in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University.

Eric's intuitive nature and outside-the-box thinking allow him to approach projects with fresh views. Eric says, "I joined Siegfried because I wanted to get exposure to various accounting positions and projects while working with some of the most intelligent and forward-thinking people in the industry."

In his free time, Eric enjoys relaxing with friends and family. The recent addition of two puppies to his household, however, has really cut into his 'relaxing' time! He also has a passion for collecting new hobbies, the most recent addition being leatherworking. He plans to maintain his laidback lifestyle wherever his work travels take him.

Idrees Tily, CPA
Idrees is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Houston Market as a Manager. He comes to Siegfried with three years of audit experience at KPMG. Prior to KPMG he gained four years of accounting review and monthly close experience at Hines, a property management and real estate firm. He received his Masters of Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the University of Saint Thomas.

Idrees work-ethic and dedication, coupled with a healthy competitive spirit, allow him to welcome and embrace challenges with the sole goal of continuing professional. Idrees says, "I joined the Siegfried team because I wanted to experience challenging projects which will allow me to continue to add tools to my toolbox and grow both personally and professionally."

In his free time, Idrees is an avid sports fan, specifically of the Houston Astros. He stays active by playing baseball and softball when he can and hopes that his two beautiful daughters expand their fandom from just J.J. Watt, to include the likes of Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, and Dallas Keuchel. He was a proud representative of the Houston Astros in the 2005 national television commercial and campaign "I Live for This!" and he does not find it coincidental that the Astros' sole World Series appearance was later that year.
