The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the Houston Market for Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of the Firm's Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of the finest restaurants in Las Vegas.

In Siegfried's Houston office in the South region, the Firm is excited about Jason Bailey, Rushil Barua, Maurice Nassar and Eric Pannell joining the team.

Jason Bailey, CPA

Jason is a Certified Public Accountant joining the Houston market as a Senior Associate. Prior to joining the Siegfried Group, Jason was a Senior Associate at KPMG in the Oklahoma City office for over three years. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma.

Jason was drawn to Siegfried because of the unique opportunities and extraordinary growth potential. According to Jason, "My high level of motivation and appetite for challenging work fits perfectly with the opportunities presented by Siegfried."

While living in Oklahoma City, Jason was active in the United Way of Central Oklahoma and Junior Achievement, teaching economics and personal finance to local high school students. Outside of work Jason enjoys running, going to his alma mater's football games and reading. 

Rushil Barua, CA

Rushil is a Chartered Accountant who joins the Houston Market as a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Siegfried, he gained four years of public accounting experience at PwC and EY, working primarily on large oil and gas clients across US and Canadian markets. He received his Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Calgary in Canada.

According to Rushil, "What drew me to The Siegfried Group, was the ability to gain exposure to a wide variety of industries while learning the workings of various business models. More importantly, I am excited to add value and make meaningful contributions to my clients."

Rushil loves to travel internationally, and thus far has lived across nine cities in six different countries. In his leisure time, he closely follows geo-politics and economics, and enjoys playing squash and swimming recreationally. 

Maurice Nassar

Maurice Nassar joins the Houston Market as a director with over thirteen years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, and Consulting. He has served in a variety of positions including CFO and as a consultant for companies in several industries including Manufacturing, Distribution, Entertainment, and Oil & Gas. Maurice graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor's degree in Finance.

Maurice looks forward to bringing his experience and flexibility to the Houston team. "I am excited about continuing to grow and gain new experiences in a thriving market," he says.

Maurice is heavily involved with several organizations including Financial Executives International, where he serves on the board for the Houston Chapter.  He is also active in state and national societies dedicated to preserving Texas and American history.

Eric Pannell, CPA

Eric is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Firm's Houston Market as an Associate Manager. Prior to joining Siegfried, he gained significant financial reporting (SEC), accounting, and audit experience in lead senior roles with PwC, KPMG, and a multinational, publicly traded financial services/retail company. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.

Eric's drive, flexibility, and abilities to adapt and learn quickly are what set him apart in the workplace. Eric says, "The variety of compelling work and the potential for projects with interesting clients is what drew me to Siegfried."

When he's not hard at work, Eric enjoys spending time with his family and traveling abroad. Eric is always looking for new opportunities to expand his knowledge, and while in college, he was a member of three different honors societies; Beta Alpha Psi, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma.
