The SCOOTER Store Receives Runzheimer Best Practices Award For Business Vehicle Management
Company Honored by Runzheimer for Fifth Time in Last Six Years
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The SCOOTER Store, the nation's leading provider of power mobility solutions, announced that Runzheimer International has selected the company for their highest level of recognition, the Runzheimer Total Employee Mobility (TEM) Best Practices Award, in the area of Business Vehicle Management. The company has been recognized by Runzheimer in their TEM benchmarking forum for best practices in vehicle management during 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and now 2011.
In 2011, The SCOOTER Store managed a fleet of over 500 vehicles that traveled over 22 million miles, enabling company employees to provide seniors and disabled Americans with the convenience of in-home delivery and service of the power wheelchairs, electric scooters, and other home care products they require to live safe and independent at home.
"The SCOOTER Store is constantly looking for ways to achieve cost savings, manage safety, and maintain employee satisfaction so we may serve our customers as efficiently as possible," said Mark Leita, Vice President of External Relations and Government Affairs for The SCOOTER Store. "In making fleet management decisions, we utilize a 3-way test philosophy: is it good for the customer, good for the employee, and good for the company. We are honored to receive the Best Practices Award from Runzheimer," added Leita.
Runzheimer TEM Best Practices awards and process are similar to the "Best Places to Work" survey process which has continued to gain popularity and applicants each year. The Runzheimer TEM Best Practices awards identify, recognize and share best practices in employee mobility and develop awareness of how those practices create a competitive advantage for participating organizations.
