The San Francisco Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Community Center Celebrates Eleven Years Of Glamour With STUDIO 11
STUDIO 11 Will Transform the San Francisco Design Center Galleria into a Chic Discotheque Experience
SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the SF LGBT Center announced it will celebrate its 11th anniversary on Saturday, March 23rd with STUDIO 11. This exciting event will invoke the spirit of Studio 54 where all guests are VIPs and everyone is encouraged to be free and fabulous. The Center's annual Soiree is its largest fundraising event. All proceeds support vital services to those with the greatest need and cultural programs for the entire community.
STUDIO 11 opens at 7pm on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the San Francisco Design Center, 101 Henry Adams Street in San Francisco. Individual tickets are $125 each and can be purchased now at www.sfcenter.org/studio11.
"This is our moment to celebrate our accomplishments..." said Executive Director, Rebecca Rolfe. "...we boldly look towards the future, continuing our mission of connecting people to opportunities so that together we create a stronger, healthier and more welcoming world. The Center is proud to kick off our 11th year with STUDIO 11!"
STUDIO 11 invites guests to dust off their Liza lashes, fluff their Warhol wigs, and ready the white stallion they will ride for their grand entrance as we celebrate the exclusive opulence of the Studio 54 era. All are welcome behind the velvet rope to enjoy a night of entertainment from drag superstars Ambrosia Salad, Dia Dear, Alotta Boutte, Miss Rahni, and more. Dance to the beats of world famous DJs Bus Station John (Tubesteak Connection, Love Will Fix It), Dr. Sleep, (Dial Up, Darling Nikki), and Sergio Fedasz (Go Bang).
And making sure everyone is feeling right at home, your host for the evening is San Francisco's own Ms. Tita Aida. By night, Tita is a fierce and fabulous hostess, and by day is a leading activist for HIV/AIDS awareness, Transgender and Asian & Pacific Islander communities. She has served on San Francisco's Entertainment Commission, the Commission on the Status of Women, and is currently Program Supervisor for Transgender Programs at the API Wellness Center.
Enjoy the entire spectacle while sipping from a hosted bar featuring SKYY Vodka, Flor de Cana rum, Barefoot Bubbly, Castle Rock Wines and a selection of beers while tasting gourmet cuisine from San Francisco's finest restaurants.
Our silent auction promises to have some amazing items available for bidding that are sure to please the heart, the mind and the pocketbook. Check www.sfcenter.org/studio11 now for more information.
Special thanks to STUDIO 11's lead sponsor, California Pacific Medical Center, as well as a few of our other corporate partners: U.S. Bank, Target, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, the San Francisco 49ers, MacFarlane Partners, AOL, and dot429 for making this event possible.
Since 2002, the Center has worked to strengthen San Francisco's LGBT community and serve as a home where we can enjoy the freedom to be our best – the freedom to be fabulous! Studio 54, beneath its veneer of bacchanalia, offered its diverse guests a similar freedom and safety to express themselves without judgment. Like the Center, STUDIO 11 allows everyone to feel like the VIPs they are.
