The Rumble Is Over: LimeGreen's Second Annual Branding Brawl Contest Winners Announced
CHICAGO, Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The LimeGreen Branding Brawl design contest has officially ended for this year, and when the dust cleared, Colin Hildenbrand was selected as the first place winner. A native of Ferdinand, Indiana, Hildenbrand's graphic design work earned him a $1,000 cash prize. Nabeela Hasin from New York City took second place, collecting a $500 prize, and Hillary Timlin from Vernon Hills, IL landed third place receiving a $250 prize.
"This year's Branding Brawl contest was very successful and accomplished its main goal which was to showcase up-and-coming creative talent," said Michon Ellis, CEO of LimeGreen and the brainchild behind Branding Brawl. "Our judging panel was wowed by the work submitted for the second annual design challenge, making it tough to just choose three winners."
Each year, LimeGreen chooses a company to feature in its signature design contest. Global Adrenaline, a premier travel company that caters to the luxury group travel set, was chosen to be this year's showcased company.
Participants were charged with creating a fresh take on Global Adrenaline's current marketing and sales materials. The designers were tasked with designing specialized but streamlined marketing materials for each of Global Adrenaline's six distinct client types.
"We were excited at the opportunity to be a part of the Branding Brawl, and to get a fresh perspective on our company image," Nancy Schumacher, CEO of Global Adrenaline said. "The participants did a fantastic job designing new materials that spoke to our various client types while conveying the core of who we are as a company today."
Submissions were uploaded to LimeGreen's social media networks for voting of favorites from the public. Following the online voting, a panel of elite judges from the design and professional community decided who received the first, second and third place prizes.
