The Road May be Closed but Art Van is Open for Business

WARREN, Mich., April 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Construction Alert!  Bridge construction on 14 mile road between Van Dyke and Mound Road, one of Macomb County's busiest areas, will shut down thru traffic for the next two months. Visitors to Art Van Furniture flagship showroom, corporate offices and warehouse can still access the buildings via alternate driving routes.

Macomb County Road Commission will close a portion of 14 Mile road near Van Dyke beginning Monday, April 4, 2011. Anyone planning to pick up furniture at the Art Van Furniture warehouse or to visit the flagship store will have to access the campus from Mound Road to eastbound 14 Mile Road.

"We are assured by the road commission that every effort has been made to make road travel in this area as smooth as possible during this construction period," said Diane Charles, Director of Corporate Communications. "We apologize to our guests for any inconvenience."  

The road is expected to be reopened by June 30, 2011.
