Tata Motors Limited Research Report
Tata Motors is looking pretty good, seeing as its Jaguar Land Rover Sales increased by 13 percent. Furthermore, the Evoque SUVs sold 118,000 units in the year. However, with a starting price of £30,000, the margins on the Evoque are lower than other models, where retail prices can top £100,000. Emkay Global, a Mumbai-based broker, was not shocked by the decrease in JLR's earnings. "As the old Range Rover is discontinued and the new one starts selling, the quarter margins should likely normalize in the fourth quarter," the broker said. Many are optimistic that Tata Motors and its subsidiary, Jaguar Land Rover, will rise later in the year. Bookings for the new Range Rover, a high-margin product, indicate demand for new products is high. The Range Rover is estimated to sell up to 4,000 units monthly, as compared to the current sales of 3,500 units. Tata Motors also released its new Tata Vista D90, its new premium hatchback, which is expected to boost sales for the company. Moreover, medium and heavy truck sales are expected to increase after a cut in interests by the RBI. Navistar International Corporation Research Report
Navistar also has a few good prospects. After former CEO Daniel Ustian led the company to pursue an engine technology to control gas emissions that ended up failing to pass EPA regulations, the company began struggling. However, in the coming months, Navistar is to increase its expenditures to research and development to design engine products that meet EPA and California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards. Thankfully, compared to other truck manufacturers, it is easiest for Navistar to switch from diesel to natural gas, a cleaner and less expensive fuel source. This is due to its partnership with Clean Energy Fuels, Navistar still has a leading position in the global truck market, and many are positive that the trucking industry will do well this year. Furthermore, the company has long-term contracts with the U.S. government, providing a steady revenue stream. Ultimately, Tata Motors and Navistar started on the wrong foot. But with both companies having great signs for success ahead of them, coming out strong is not far off. Tata Motors is expected to benefit from its new products, along with an increase in sales in for its medium and heavy trucks, while Navistar is expected to continue earning from its long-term contracts and the high level of demand for commercial trucks. Visa Inc. Research Report
Visa Inc. is only one of the big names that have been following the digital wallet trend. With Visa's V.me digital wallet solution, the estimate of 70% abandoned online shopping transactions is expected to significantly decrease. By using V.me for online shopping, customers simply need to provide their V.me login info. Now, security may be of a concern with online shopping, but Visa has been successful at developing an encryption and multilayer authentication. This online security measure will prevent cases of fraud especially for instances when the device is lost, stolen or hacked. American Express Company Research Report
Although Americans are planning or hoping to save money and to pay off debts in 2013, a study conducted by the American Express Company indicates that businesses related to leisure travel, clothes and accessories may rake in better revenues this year. Despite American Express' steep fall of 47% in its fourth quarter net income, analysts and investors are still considering the company a buy because of its BlueBird program. BlueBird is a prepaid debit card that is much like the credit card without monthly and annual fees. The privilege of owning a credit card without paying service fees may actually attract new and old markets, and this is a good sign for the company's growth. American Express' decision to choose Wal-Mart in offering its new card is also expected to attract the retailer's large customer base. How can American Express earn from BlueBird? By getting a small transaction fee from merchants, American Express may see a notable income increase. With BlueBird in its portfolio, American Express may soon experience abnormal trading volumes.
