The Renal Physicians Association Celebrates Special Milestone
ROCKVILLE, Md., Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Renal Physicians Association (RPA) will host its 40th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 7:00PM in the Holiday Ballroom of the Hilton Baltimore, in Baltimore, MD. During the celebration, RPA will recognize the growth of the association since its humble beginnings when a group of nephrologists met in Chicago in July 1973 and identified the need for an organization to advocate for and protect the nephrology discipline.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception followed by dinner in the Holiday Ballroom. Former RPA leaders, current members, kidney patients and friends of the association will share an evening of reflecting on the association's achievements, celebrating RPA's accomplishments and looking toward the future for the nephrology discipline and RPA's role in continuing to serve the profession.
RPA's first President Dr. John Sadler serves as the honorary chair of this very special event. Dr. Sadler's vision four decades ago has led to a strong and vibrant organization that has shaped nephrology reimbursement, regulatory requirements governing the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) program, and policies that insure the delivery of quality kidney patient care.
The ticket price for the gala is $150.00 or $1,000.00 to purchase a table that seats eight people. Additional support opportunities include Sponsoring a Year in the Life of RPA at a cost of $1,500.00 per year purchased (includes two tickets to the gala).
