The Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse Announces Board of Directors
2010 Board of Directors expertise complements PLSG's commercialization strategy
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse (PLSG), the organization providing capital investments and customized company formation and business growth programs to the region's life sciences enterprises, has announced the membership of its 2010 Board of Directors. The composition of this leadership team supports PLSG's mission to position the region at the forefront of the life sciences industry and accelerate the introduction of biomedical innovations to the global marketplace.

The 2010 leadership team will again be led by Chairman of the Board, Dr. D. Lansing Taylor President and Chief Executive Officer, Cellumen, Inc.
New members joining the PLSG Board of Directors in 2010 include; Dr. George Klinzing, Vice Provost for Research, University of Pittsburgh; Richard D. McCullough, Ph.D., Vice President for Research, Professor of Chemistry, Carnegie Mellon University; and Donald J. Spence, CEO Philips Home Healthcare Solutions, Philips Respironics.
In addition, founding Co-Chairs of the PLSG Board of Directors, Dr. Jared L. Cohon, President, Carnegie Mellon University and Mark A. Nordenberg, Esq., Chancellor, University of Pittsburgh will transition into roles as Directors Emeritus. John Manzetti added, "We owe Dr. Cohon and Chancellor Nordenberg a great deal of gratitude for their innovative ideas and dedication to setting the foundation for the PLSG over the past 7 years. They will remain involved as needed to advance the commercialization of technologies from the universities and local entrepreneurs."
