The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Approves $30,000 in Fines
HARRISBURG, Pa., July 13, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today levied fines totaling $30,000 against two casino operators for various violations.
The fines were the result of Board approvals of consent agreements between the PGCB's Office of Enforcement Counsel and:
- Chester Downs and Marina, LLC., operator of the Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack in Delaware County, which was fined $20,000 for violations of its internal controls; and
- Valley Forge Convention Center Partners, LP, operator of the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Montgomery County, which was fined $10,000 for an underage gaming violation.
Details
The fine of $20,000 against Chester Downs and Marina, LLC. resulted from allowing its personnel at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino to follow procedures for jackpot and credit meter payouts that had not been submitted to or approved by the PGCB.
Valley Forge Convention Center Partners, LP was assessed a $10,000 fine for permitting an 18-year-old female to access the casino floor and consume alcohol.
The next meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in the PGCB's Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.
