The Partnership for a Drug-Free America Awarded $75,000 Grant from Endo Pharmaceuticals to Support Key Resource for Parents and Caregivers
NEW YORK, June 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Partnership for a Drug-Free America has been awarded a $75,000 grant from Pennsylvania-based, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to support distribution of the Drug Guide for Parents, a resource tool to help parents and caregivers identify the top 13 drugs teens abuse. As a National Supporter of the Drug Guide for Parents, Endo Pharmaceuticals' contribution will further equip parents with the information they need to keep their teens healthy and drug free.
"Our company is committed to the responsible use of our products. We take steps to ensure our products are prescribed and used appropriately through the support of ongoing educational programming to physicians and other health professionals," said Nancy Santilli, Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Endo. "We are pleased to be working with the Partnership for a Drug-Free America to help support distribution of this critically important resource for parents."
"The Partnership is extremely grateful for the support Endo Pharmaceuticals has provided to promote and distribute this tool for parents and caregivers," said Sharon Jaycox Daitz, SVP, Director of Development at the Partnership. "Parents are key to helping protect their kids from the risks of drug and alcohol use. Thanks to Endo's generosity we will continue to offer this great resource, an easy-to-read guide that provides information on what drugs of abuse look like, their 'street/commercial name,' and explains how the drugs can be abused. Armed with this knowledge, we can all help prevent drug and alcohol abuse among children."
The Drug Guide for Parents is available as a free download within the Partnership Parent Toolkit's "How To Spot Drug & Alcohol Use," and the Talk Kit on TimeToTalk.org.
