The Outsourcing Institute's Third Annual BPO Innovations Conference to Feature Keynotes from HfS Research and Xerox
Roundtables, case studies, panels, and presentations to focus on "Digital Transformation and the Next Wave of Business Value Add"
NEW YORK, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Outsourcing Institute today announced its third annual BPO Innovations Conference, an exclusive and forward-thinking symposium that brings together leading business process outsourcing (BPO) practitioners, decision makers, influencers and thought leaders to learn, connect, share and transact. The one-day power conference focused on "Digital Transformation and the Next Wave of Business Value Add," is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2015. The symposium will highlight the intersection of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), technology and innovation, and features two thought provoking keynotes from industry leaders, HfS Research and Xerox.
Keynote speakers, Phil Fersht, Founder and CEO of HfS Research, will share his perspectives in his presentation on "Welcome to the As-a-Service Economy" and Gregory North, Xerox Services Chief Process Officer and RG Conlee, Xerox Services Chief Innovation Officer, will jointly present on "How Digital Changes the Game for BPO: From Process to Business Value."
Phil Fersht, who coined the "As-a-Service Economy" term, will reveal new research trends that show today's services work is gradually becoming a genuine blending of people-plus-technology that helps us inch towards an ultimate destination of services value, accessible on-tap, empowering service buyers to focus on proactive value-identification with help from their service partners through meaningful and secure data, enabled by intelligent automation and digital tools, all made possible by smart people working together. Gregory North and RG Conlee will present on how Xerox is helping clients rethink how work gets done through the application of key enabling digital technologies such as robotic process automation, analytics, and the Internet of Things.
"The transition to As-a-Service is all about simplification — removing unnecessary complexity, poor processes, and manual intervention to make way for a more nimble way of running a business. It is also about prioritizing where to focus investments to achieve maximum benefit and impact for the business from its operations," said Phil Fersht, Founder and CEO, HfS Research. "Technology has made it easier to communicate, get access to data, get routine things done ourselves, which we needed help with in the past. The actual "work" is getting done for us, the new "work" is evolving from us interacting with each other, finding business problems to address changing business models and applying data to the business, not just for the sake of creating more data. I look forward to expanding on this discussion in New York."
"We are delighted to announce this year's keynote speakers, Phil Fersht, Gregory North, and RG Conlee, who will share how digital trends and transformative technologies are impacting our industry and delivering innovation," said Daniel Goodstein, President of Media & Events at The Outsourcing Institute. "We've gathered the who's who of experts and thought leaders advancing the charge to digital BPO innovation. This one day event delivers a powerful learning and networking opportunity, with strategic and tactical action items that allow attendees to get the most out of existing and future BPO engagements. And we have additional speaker, roundtable, case studies, and panel presentations coming soon."
This year's BPO Innovation Conference is being chaired by Shelia Knuckles, BPO Relationship Leader of McKesson Corporation and Anupam Govil, Partner at Avasant. The conference is sponsored by Avasant, Capgemini, HfS, Loeb & Loeb LLP, Neo Group, and Xerox.
