The 'Oscar of the Brazilian Food Industry' Will be Awarded at Fi South America 2010

SAO PAULO, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The FiSA awards are given in recognition of the most innovative food products and ingredients, and to companies that invest in technology and innovation focusing on development of new products and solutions for the sector.

In the last FiSA Awards for 2008, Gelita won the prize for the Most Innovative Food Ingredient 2007−8 with its product RTE–ICE; and Sadia won the prize for the Most Innovative Food Product 2007−8 with its Microwaveable Pizza.

Applications to this year's awards may be made up to August 20. Instructions on how to apply are at www.fi-events.com.br.

The winners will be announced at the 2010 FiSA Awards party, to be held on September 21.

FiSA 2010

The FiSA Awards are one of the attractions of Food Ingredients South America (FiSA), Latin America's largest and most comprehensive food ingredients event – to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 21–23.

FiSA 2010 has two elements: the Trade Show Exhibition, and the International Food Ingredients Congress – and occupies 14,000m2 of the Blue Pavilion (Pavilhao Azul) of Sao Paulo's Expo Center Norte Exhibition Centre. More than 250 Brazilian and international exhibitors will present the latest innovative technology in food ingredient products and processes. The number of visitors this year is expected to break its previous record (of 2008), and reach more than 12,000 professional.
