The Open Group Cloud Survey: How Are C-Level Executives Making Cloud Purchase Decisions?
Industry Leaders Surveyed on Cloud Business Requirements, Measuring ROI
SAN FRANCISCO, May 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Open Group today announced the results of its Cloud Computing Survey, which reveal that organizations are struggling with how to measure Cloud ROI, with more than 60 percent of respondents saying that their organizations do not currently have an ROI mechanism in place. The survey is available by emailing us with your request.
"The ability to transform business is the most exciting feature of the Cloud phenomenon," said Dr. Chris Harding, Forum Director for The Open Group Cloud Computing Work Group. "The survey shows that users recognize that Cloud Computing will impact their business processes, but that they are not yet prepared to handle that impact or, in many cases, even to measure it. The Open Group can and will do more to develop understanding of the business impact of Cloud Computing. We will be publishing The Open Group Guide to Cloud Computing for Business later this year and will continue to develop the theme at our conferences and in our Cloud Computing Work Group discussions."
