The One Show Launches Automobile Advertising of the Year Award
The One Club Partners with Detroit's North American International Auto Show
NEW YORK, Oct. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The One Club (www.oneclub.org), producers of the prestigious One Show Awards, announced today the launch of the Automobile Advertising of the Year Award. Partnering with the North American International Auto Show (www.naias.com) in Detroit, The One Club will recognize creative excellence in four categories: print & outdoor, television & video, interactive and experiential.
The One Club partnered with the Detroit show to create the new auto award following a successful event at least year's auto show honoring the top 10 automobile commercials from the past 25 years – an event that was featured in major media outlets and generated over 200 million media impressions.
"After the enormous success of last year's event, we knew that there was an opportunity to build something bigger, and our partners at the NAIAS have given us their support," said Yash Egami, Director of Content at The One Club and producer of the Automobile Advertising of the Year Award. "NAIAS is the perfect venue to celebrate the best creative from automotive brands and advertising agencies."
This year's winners will be presented on-stage at a special event during the NAIAS Press Preview on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at the Cobo Center in Detroit. An esteemed panel of jurors consisting of some of the top creative directors in the ad industry and automotive journalists will judge work.
Deadline for submission is November 1, 2013 at automobile.oneclub.org. It is free to enter.
"We're pleased to welcome back The One Club to NAIAS, and look forward to the premiere of the Automobile Advertising of the Year Award, which will provide a great opportunity to show the critical relationship and connectedness of both industries," said NAIAS Chairman Bob Shuman.
With an estimated 5,000 journalists from around the world and 800,000 people attending as well as the CEOs of the major automobile brands, NAIAS is one of the top auto shows in the world.
