The O'Gara Group Appoints New President of Its Mobile Systems Division
CINCINNATI, Nov. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The O'Gara Group, Inc., a diverse provider of security and defense products and services, announced today that it has hired Tony Russell as the President of its Mobile Systems Division. The Mobile Systems Division designs, integrates and sells highly engineered armored vehicles and vehicle armoring systems; designs and incorporates electronic integration packages for vehicles; and sells impact-resistant transparent armor for other specialized vehicle armor applications.
Tony Russell, with a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, began his career with O'Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt Armoring Company, a company formerly owned by the founders and current executive managers of The O'Gara Group. In 2010, Russell retired as President of the Security and Survivability Business of BAE Systems and was responsible for overseeing the business unit with $1.4 billion in annual revenue and 4300 employees in 12 sites. During his career, Russell was responsible for many commercial and military armoring programs both domestically and around the world. His work over the years as a business leader, Chief Technology Officer and armor engineer helped to create life-saving solutions for vehicles, aircraft and individual equipment.
