DES PLAINES, Ill. and SHARON, Pa., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and Winner International announced today an agreement to provide the nearly 1,100 NICB member companies with a discount program for "The Club" steering wheel lock.

"Although nationally vehicle theft continues its downward trend, insurers still pay out millions of dollars for stolen vehicles that are never recovered," said NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "'The Club' has proven to be effective in deterring and reducing vehicle theft which helps keep insurance premiums down. 'The Club' is one of the most cost-effective devices on the market.

Wehrle noted that NICB members write 93 percent of the private passenger automobile insurance in the U.S. and the NICB counts among its members the 31 largest property casualty insurance companies in terms of annual direct written premiums.
