LAS VEGAS, Aug. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tropicana Las Vegas Inc. has appointed Daniel M. Wade President and Chief Operating Officer of the New Tropicana Las Vegas. Effective July 30, Wade will oversee all operations of the newly transformed resort and casino.

A 37-year veteran and leader in the gaming industry, Wade primarily built his reputation with the MGM Grand organization where he held several leadership positions, most notably as President and Chief Operating Officer of the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Prior to MGM, Wade held leadership positions at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino, at Harrah's both in Reno and in Atlantic City, and at the Maxim Hotel and Casino. Wade most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for ELAD IDB LV LLC, where he led the design and development efforts for The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas.
In addition to being a member of the Board of Directors for Shuffle Master, Inc., Wade is a key philanthropist in numerous charitable causes including the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas.
Wade has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
