NEW YORK, July 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Records – Los Angeles' The Neighbourhood has announced a nationwide headlining tour set for the fall, kicking off September 27 in Austin, TX and running through the end of November (see below for tour dates). The tour, which follows the band's sold out "The Love Collection" tour this spring and a string of summer dates supporting Imagine Dragons, includes stops at New York's Terminal 5 and a second play at LA's famed Fonda Theatre. The Neighbourhood is touring in support of their debut LP I Love You., which is out now via Columbia Records and available HERE. The Neighbourhood has also been confirmed to participate in LIFT, VEVO's emerging artists program. Kicking off July 19 and throughout the following 8 weeks, fans will have the opportunity to get to know The Neighbourhood through video premieres, exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and more at www.vevo.com/lift. The LIFT program will highlight live performances and feature an exciting look in the studio on how the band's debut album was created.
The Neighbourhood's hit single "Sweater Weather" is quickly shaping up to be the song of the summer, having spent 8 weeks at #1 at Alternative Radio. The band performed the song on last night's episode of CONAN, the same night of their hometown show at LA's Fonda Theatre that sold out in 20 minutes. The CONAN performance, which was shot in black and white, can be viewed HERE and follows the band's network television debut of "Sweater Weather" last month on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The song's companion video can be viewed HERE.
The Neighbourhood is: Jesse Rutherford (vocals), Jeremy Freedman (guitar), Zach Abels (guitar), Mikey Margott (bass) & Bryan Sammis (drums)
