BERWYN, Pa., June 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In recognition of The NCHERM Group's growing practice in the western part of the United States, the Group is excited to announce the opening of its California office. President & CEO Brett A. Sokolow, Esq. has announced his relocation to Los Angeles as of July 1, 2017, to head this office. Sokolow stated, "While we have covered the western states well for many years, our practice is more than busy enough to sustain a West Coast outpost now, and establishing an office in Los Angeles will allow us to better serve our clients all across the western states. With five consultants already based in California, and a regular client base of more than 35 colleges, it is time to better serve the West Coast with a dedicated Partner heading the LA office."
The NCHERM Group strategy has been to spread partners and consultants geographically so that the Group is never far from clients when needed. Los Angeles now joins NCHERM Group offices in:
- Berwyn, PA
- Manchester, NH
- Columbus, OH
- and Denver, CO
The NCHERM Group and its affiliated associations, the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) and National Behavioral Team Association (NaBITA) remain headquartered in Berwyn, PA, outside of Philadelphia. Managing Partner, Daniel C. Swinton, J.D., Ed.D. will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, with the support of an able executive team and talented staff of sixteen.
Sokolow looks forward to working more closely with West Coast-based and western clients at schools and colleges in the years to come. The NCHERM Group will continue to expand its services and consultants on the West Coast as demand requires, and Group consultants continue to travel wherever their services are needed, including recent trips to Germany, England, and Beirut, Lebanon.
In recognition of the need to expand to serve our clients well, The NCHERM Group has added three new consultants this month, expanding our total to 31. Catherine Spear, Esq. (link forthcoming) is based in Virginia, where she serves as Associate Vice President in the Office for Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights (EOCR) at the University of Virginia, and previously directed the Cleveland office of the US Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights. Joe Allen, Ed.D., joins our California team, and is based in San Diego. Joe worked in student affairs at Ashford University and specializes in risk management and best practices for online student populations, with particular emphasis on student conduct and sexual misconduct. Daniel Kast, M.S. is located in Colorado, where he is the Director of Civil Rights and Investigations for the Colorado Community College System. Dan's primary professional interests are in the areas of investigations and policy development.
Geographically, NCHERM Group consultants are well-spread within California, giving easy access to the Pacific Northwest, Nevada, Idaho, Arizona and New Mexico, with two consultants in San Diego, two in Los Angeles, and one each in Santa Clara and San Jose.
