The National Society of Hispanic MBAs & Big Brothers Big Sisters Join Forces For A Common Goal
IRVING, Texas, Sept. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- This week at the campus of Southern Methodist University, the DFW Chapter of The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) hosted its 2014 TEXAS L.E.A.D. CONFERENCE, a professional development event centered on Leadership, Education and Diversity. The focus of the event, now in its 12th year, was to provide career advancement workshops and networking opportunities for members and attendees. The well-attended event enjoyed strong local support from sponsors such as BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, Yum! Attendees at the conference also received informational materials from Big Brothers Big Sisters about the many benefits, both personal and professional, of participating in its mentoring programs that target local youth. Speaking about the way that the non-profits teamed up, Victor Quintana, Compliance Officer and Secretary of NSHMBA's DFW Chapter, stated, "It's a win-win for everyone. Leaders of Big Brothers Big Sisters were excited about participating in NSHMBA's event, which provided many opportunities to recruit potential new mentors."We are excited to team-up with NSHMBA in the DFW area.
