ST. JAMES PARISH, La., Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) announced a $25,000 contribution to the American Red Cross for disaster relief efforts in South Louisiana, specifically St. James Parish. On Tuesday, February 23, 2016, several tornadoes touched down claiming lives, injuring many, and causing significant damage to several local communities.
Headquartered in Plymouth, Minn., Mosaic supplies crop nutrition products to the global agriculture industry and operates two facilities in St. James Parish, Louisiana. Mosaic's contribution to the Red Cross will assist with safety and shelter, food and water, emotional support services, and long-term assistance and cleanup efforts.
