The More You Play the More You Win: Warm-up App Adds Pre-Show Fun to International CES 2012 Events
NEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The annual Last Gadget Standing and Mobile Apps Showdown award events at 2012 International CES just got even more exciting. Now, anyone attending the events has a chance to win prizes by playing an interactive game on the websites asking them to view photos and answer tech-related questions. A new photo and question will be posted daily leading up to 2012 International CES, taking place January 10-13 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The person who answers the most questions during each contest will win the big gadget giveaway during the live event. Last Gadget Standing and Mobile Apps Showdown take place in Room N257 of the Las Vegas Convention Center at 10:30 a.m. on January 12.
For eleven years, Last Gadget Standing has been a highly anticipated event at CES, honoring the hottest products. Mobile Apps Showdown is a fast-paced contest where the public is asked to vote on apps they think have what it takes to make it. To add to the merriment, Gary "Bababooey" Dell'Abate and Jon Hein, of the Howard Stern Wrap Up Show, will host both events.
"Who says you can't keep up with tech while having a blast at the same time," said Robin Raskin, founder of Living in Digital Times. "By adding pre-show interaction, we build up awareness of the event and make it more fun than ever."
This year, for the first time, attendees can interact with the contestants at the Wall of Apps in the LVCC's Central Hall. And it's not too late to enter products into the competition, either.
How to Play
Anyone can log on to the contest sites at www.lastgadgetstanding.com and mobileappsshowdown.com, click on the icon, and start answering questions. The person who answers the most will win a prize at the events. Past attendees have won everything from Acer laptops to iRobot Roombas.
