NEW YORK, April 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Molecule, a leader in the Visual Effects landscape in New York and Los Angeles, hired compositing supervisor Rick Shick to enhance the growth of their Visual Effects team.
"Rick brings over 20 years of experience to the table, and he has a great eye. He's also a team player, so he fits well into our culture here," says Molecule partner Andrew Bly.
As a senior compositor for The Molecule, his past projects have included A Walk Among The Tombstones, Love and Mercy, and A Most Violent Year. Credits with other studios include Captain America: Winter Soldier, Ghost Rider and The Chronicles of Narnia. He also shares an Oscar with the team from Sony Imageworks for Spider-Man 2.
Rick says that he was excited to return to The Molecule team. "I feel very welcomed to be here as an artist, a supervisor and a voice to help direct the company in a way that makes working at The Molecule a great experience all the way around," he says.
At The Molecule Rick joins compositing supervisors Mark Friedman and Vicky Penzes, and will supervise a growing team of artists in both Visual Effects and Virtual Reality.
