The Meehl Foundation to Give Away Free SPECT Neuroimaging Session to Amen Brain Body Turnaround Conference Attendee
HOUSTON, June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Meehl Foundation is offering a free SPECT image to any conference attendee or family member attending the Amen Brain Body turnaround, who then chooses to break the cycle of suffering by enrolling in the Meehl Foundation 90-day DBT residential treatment program.
Diagnosable Mental and Physical Illness in the United States is climbing at an alarming rate. Our thoughts plus our emotions equal our behaviors. Receiving a correct diagnosis is the first step in treatment; the second step is therapy that breaks the cycle of suffering allowing you to create a new life. Having a mental illness is not a label - it is the foundation to changing the paradigm in your life. If you want to change your behaviors you must change your emotional responses and your thoughts. Medication and therapy are the two ways to accomplish this.
The Meehl Foundation is an "Intensively Trained DBT Team" and an "Amen Brain Healthy Treatment Program" creating an individual plan for a wholistic balanced approach to mental wellness with: Psychological testing and assessment, Hypnosis, acupuncture, hair follicle testing for vitamins and mineral, hormone balancing, and nutrition counseling. The Meehl Foundation takes only five select clients at a time. We are not a one-size-fits-all program. Clients coming to treatment are health-conscious individuals that are struggling with a mental illness and or addiction issues. Candidates for the free #SPECT image will want the emotional regulation skills offered at the Meehl Foundation to reset their lives. A genetic predisposition and environmental trigger are all it takes for the mental roller coaster of depression, bipolar Disorder, ADHD, PTSD and eating disorders to begin. Without the correct skills and knowledge many of these disorder are masked with addictions to food, gambling, shopping, and substances
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is the gold standard treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder, and new studies show that it is also effective in many mental illnesses. DBT is the #MeehlFoundation model for treating emotional vulnerability. DBT has step-by-step practices to create a life in balance. Any candidate must have a willingness to change, make a 90-day commitment to the program, be willing to see a psychiatrist and follow a treatment plan. Applicants may contact the Meehl Foundation at [email protected] to request an intake application, once selected a $5000.00 deposit holds a position. Certificates for the free SPECT are good for one year, ending June 22, 2015.
