The Copernicus Center at 5216 W Lawrence Avenue will play host to the event, which will be separated into a morning session for prospective business operators to learn the complicated ins and outs of the medical marijuana industry, followed by an afternoon session for would-be dispensary employees to learn the day-to-day operations of running a successful dispensary.
The day will begin with a session from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on how to get into the medical marijuana business where top experts from the legal, business, and marijuana operations fields will show potential business operators how to get licensed to run a medical marijuana business, how to obtain access into this fast-growing, billion-dollar industry, tips for the competitive licensing process, and the steps of setting up a successful medical marijuana business. Next, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, MedMen University will host a bud-tender training course to certify prospective professionals in the medical marijuana industry. This course will cover how to secure a job in the exploding industry, how to handle the day-to-day operations of a dispensary, and practice in a hands-on environment.
