The Los Angeles Film School Announces Alumni Success At The 90th Annual Academy Awards
LOS ANGELES, March 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Los Angeles Film School (LAFS) is proud to announce that several of its film graduates worked on Oscar-winning films at the 90th annual Academy Awards including "Get Out", "I, Tanya" and "Icarus." This year's awards also mark the success of LAFS graduates who worked on the nominated films "Lady Bird" and "The Disaster Artist." The Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, aired live on Sunday, March 4, on ABC.
LAFS graduates have a long-standing history of award-winning projects across all areas of the entertainment industry including films, television series, music albums and more. This year, graduates worked on the following Oscar-winning and nominated films:
- "I, Tanya" won for Best Supporting Actress
- "Icarus" won for Best Documentary Feature
- "Get Out" won for Best Original Screenplay
- "Lady Bird" nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay
- "The Disaster Artist" nominated for Best Writing Adapted Screenplay
