LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- THE LOOK Founder & CEO Alan Mruvka announced today that veteran media and television executive, Ira Kurgan, has joined the Board of Advisors for THE LOOK, the newly launched celebrity, fashion, and beauty network – www.thelooktv.com. Other board members include film producers Barry Josephson and Cindy Cowan, retail expert Terri Monsour, webcam pioneer Brian Cury and E! Entertainment Television Co-founder Larry Namer.

Kurgan is Chief of Network Business Operations, FBC & FOX Digital Media. He originally joined FOX in its infancy and spent 18 years with the network followed by three years as Chief Business Officer for the Yahoo! Network Division where he oversaw all content acquisitions, business and legal affairs, partnerships and strategic alliances. In his current role, Kurgan is responsible for all business operations for FOX, reporting to the Chairman of FOX Entertainment. He works closely with the Chairman and President of FOX Entertainment on programming issues. In addition, he works under the leadership of the Fox Digital Media President on select new media deals.
Kurgan first joined FOX in December 1987 as Vice President, Business Affairs. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in the same department in July 1988 and again to Executive Vice President in September 1994. He was given the additional responsibility for all network business operations in June 1995.
Prior to joining FOX, Kurgan served as Director of Business Affairs for Movies-of-the-Week and Miniseries at CBS, Inc.; Production Counsel for United Artists Pictures; and Theatrical and Broadcast Film Counsel at CBS, Inc. He also served as an associate at various Los Angeles law firms.
Kurgan graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his J.D. degree from the UCLA School of Law.
