The Light Reading Communications Network Announces New Sales Management Team
Veteran group led by Susan Odell to drive global events, online and research businesses
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Sept. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Light Reading Communications Network (www.lrcn.com) today announced a new senior sales team to lead its global online, events and research businesses that serve the global communications industry.
Susan Odell has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing and will manage all event and online sales, in addition to marketing and audience development. Odell has been at Light Reading for three years in a senior sales role, and before that held online product and international business development roles with Tech Target, in addition to sales management and publisher positions at IDG and CMP.
Mark Brown has been promoted to Global Sales Director, Online, and will lead Light Reading's online sales team, which sells all online products and services such as webinars, virtual events, lead-gen programs, newsletters and custom programs. Previously, Brown was the International Sales Director for Light Reading after holding a sales manager position with CNET, UK.
Joanne Emery has been named Global Sales Director, Events, and will lead Light Reading's event sales team, which will sell more than 21 worldwide events including TelcoTV, Ethernet Expo NY and The Tower Summit, as well as Light Reading conferences in the U.S., Europe, China and India. In addition, the Light Reading events team will sell new events in South America, leveraging Pyramid Research's emerging markets expertise. Emery has been in a senior sales role with Light Reading for three years, and before that had a senior sales management position with Horizon House.
Finally, Dave Williams has been named Global Sales Director, Research, and will lead the sales team for Heavy Reading, which is the telecom technology research arm of the Light Reading Communications Network. Williams had been managing subscription sales for Heavy Reading.
