The Latino Coalition Chairman Hector Barreto Urges President Obama to Sign Keystone XL Pipeline Approval Act
WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Latino Coalition Chairman and Former Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration Hector Barreto, issued the following statement regarding the House of Representatives voting to approve S. 1, the "Keystone XL Pipeline Approval Act" and urged President Obama to sign the bill:
"The passage of the Keystone XL Pipeline Approval Act is long overdue," said Hector Barreto, TLC's Chairman and Former Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. "The approval by the House of Representatives and the consensus of the American people to pass this bill demonstrates the importance of pro-growth policies. The Keystone XL Pipeline would lay out a robust and efficient framework to become energy independent, create thousands of high paying jobs and invest in the best of this nation. The project would also decrease America's dependence on foreign oil, while strengthening our national security and bolstering our economy. We urge President Obama to sign this significant piece of legislation and move forward promoting energy efficiency and America's free enterprise system."
