The Lanier Law Firm Expanding Los Angeles Office with Latest Additions
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lanier Law Firm is expanding the firm's Toxic Exposure and Asbestos practice and adding two attorneys to the firm's recently expanded Los Angeles office.
Trey Jones and Alexandra Shef have joined the firm in Los Angeles, where they will focus on mesothelioma and asbestos exposure litigation. Mr. Jones will lead the firm's Los Angeles asbestos practice group.
Mr. Jones and Ms. Shef previously practiced with Simon, Eddins & Greenstone in Long Beach, Calif. They join nationally recognized products liability attorney Dana Taschner, who has led The Lanier Law Firm's Los Angeles office since 2009.
The firm also has launched a new website dedicated to helping mesothelioma victims and educating the public about the everyday dangers of asbestos exposure. The new website, www.NationalMesotheliomaLawyer.com, is packed with up-to-date information and insights gained by The Lanier Law Firm's attorneys during more than 20 years of representing workers and their families in cases involving mesothelioma and exposure to asbestos.
Firm founder Mark Lanier is one of the country's leading trial lawyers, and a veteran of many courtroom battles on behalf of mesothelioma victims who were exposed to asbestos at work or at home. He says the firm plans to expand its work in Southern California based in part on the increasing number of mesothelioma cases among family members of those who work around asbestos.
"We see more and more cases where spouses and children are diagnosed with mesothelioma even though they never worked with asbestos," says Mr. Lanier. "There is a frightening increase in the number of family members who have contracted mesothelioma because these deadly asbestos fibers were carried into their homes on the clothing of a loved one. It's a terrible tragedy that's happening every day."
Accomplished attorney Patrick Haines leads The Lanier Law Firm's Toxic Exposure and Asbestos Practice Group, one of the country's largest with 25 lawyers handling more than 1,000 pending asbestos claims in courts across the United States. He says www.NationalMesotheliomaLawyer.com is a valuable health resource for anyone.
"This website serves as a focal point for sharing information on mesothelioma, medical treatments and litigation options," says Mr. Haines. "We are dedicated to doing everything we can to help mesothelioma victims and protect the public from this man-made epidemic."
With offices in Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Houston and New York, The Lanier Law Firm is committed to addressing client concerns with effective and innovative solutions in courtrooms across the country. The firm is composed of outstanding trial attorneys with decades of experience handling cases involving asbestos exposure, pharmaceutical liability, intellectual property, business litigation, product liability, toxic exposure, and maritime law.
