VIP Experience to Celebrate High Above the Times Square Crowd and Directly Below the New Year's Eve Ball Drop
NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Knickerbocker Hotel, located at the edge of Times Square, returns in 2015 with New Year's Eve festivities that recall the splendors and indulgent revelry of its turn-of-the-century heyday. The red carpet will be rolled out for an ultra-exclusive experience where guests will usher in 2016 with unrivaled views of the most-watched New Year's Eve celebration in the world.
New Year's packages provide luxury accommodations starting at $2,890 for one night, double occupancy, with exclusive access to The Knickerbocker's New Year's Eve Private Gala and New Year's Day Brunch.
The black-tie gala commences on Dec. 31 at the hotel's signature restaurant, Charlie Palmer at The Knick. As a nod to the 1920s Great Gatsby era, Chef Charlie Palmer and Executive Chef Cliff Denny will create a special menu featuring classic dishes such as Lobster Thermidor and Beef Wellington.
The evening moves to modern day celebration with a big reveal on St. Cloud, the hotel's spectacular rooftop bar. Greeted by fire dancers, guests will dance to a special guest DJ, 17 stories above Times Square and take in a bird's eye view of the famous Times Square Ball Drop.
Three plush Skypods at St. Cloud afford the absolute best views. Private, yet still in the middle of it all, Skypods welcome groups of 12 to 20 guests and are situated at the very epicenter of the festivities, with either a corner view directly over Times Square, or breathtaking vistas of 42nd Street or Broadway.
Guests looking for the ultimate VIP experience may reserve the Waterford Crystal Lounge at St. Cloud, a private event space boasting floor-to-ceiling glass walls that open onto the rooftop, with seating for up to 22.
Rumored to be the birthplace of the Martini, this will be The Knickerbocker's first New Year's celebration in 95 years after Prohibition caused the close of the hotel in 1921. The property reopened in February 2015 after completing a spectacular $250 million dollar redevelopment.
