The Joy in Childhood Foundation(SM) Awards $7,500 to Support Central Pennsylvania Food Bank
CANTON, Mass., May 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Joy in Childhood FoundationSM recently awarded a $7,500 grant to support the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
On March 30, local Dunkin' Donuts franchisees presented a $7,500 donation to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, which will directly support the organization's MilitaryShare program, which aims to provide fresh, nutritious foods for families with at least one member who served in the armed forces. The donation is part of more than $580,000 in grants recently awarded to nonprofits throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
"The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is so grateful for the Joy in Childhood Foundation's commitment to a community free of hunger," said Joe Arthur, executive director of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. "More than 13 million children face hunder in the United States. Thanks to the generosity of the Joy in Childhood Foundation, we will be able to provide 45,000 meals to those in need."
