The John Theurer Cancer Center Brings Dr. Ami Vaidya to Join Team of Leading Gynecologic Oncologists

HACKENSACK, N.J., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center announced today the addition of Ami Vaidya, M.D. to the division of gynecologic oncology. Dr. Vaidya is dual-board certified in gynecologic-oncology and obstetrics-gynecology. She brings a world-class education and more than seven years of gynecology experience to the cancer center.

Dr. Vaidya completed her residency at New York University and her fellowship at Harvard Medical School Massachusetts General. She then served as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Vaidya's areas of focus have included uterine papillary serous carcinoma and signal transducers and activators in drug-resistant ovarian cancer. She has been published in numerous oncology journals, including International Journal of Gynecologic Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology. Additionally, she has presented her research at a number of medical meetings including the annual meeting of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists. Of her many honors, she received the notable New England Association of Gynecologic Oncologists Fellow Research Award and the New York University Resident Clinical Research Award.
